GOYA/JOY

About

2020-2021 Advisors: Yanni & Zoe Lazarou

Ephesians 4:2:  Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

The  Greek Orthodox Youth of America (G.O.Y.A.) is for ages 12 - 17 and the  Junior Orthodox Youth (J.O.Y) is for ages 9 - 11. The mission of  G.O.Y.A. and J.O.Y is to lead our young people into experiencing and  acquiring an understanding of the Orthodox Faith which helps strengthen  their dedication to the church.

Our  goal is to take what the children learn in Sunday School and put it  into practice. This is accomplished by applying the lessons of Sunday  School into activities such as helping to feed the poor and homeless and  by visiting nursing homes.

Along with these experiences, the group is  slated to go on trips to Pennsylvania and the Baltimore/Washington D.C.  region.
